Google Panda update 4.1Google’s Panda Update is a search filter introduced in 2011 that is supposed to exclude websites with poor content from the top of Google’s search results. Panda is updated from time to time, and when it is sites that previously suffered a penalty may recover, if they have made the right changes to their website(s).

Help for the “little guys”?

The latest Panda Update, which began rolling out earlier this week, is expected to affect between three and five percent of Google’s search results (depending on the user’s location). According to Pierre Far, a Webmaster Trend Analyst at Google, the latest Panda update is expected to improve the diversity of high-quality small- and medium-sized websites in the search results.

According to Search Engine land this rollout was the 27th Panda update and has been dubbed Panda 4.1.
